Public Bodies Referred for Prosecution
On October 30, 2006, the Office of the Contractor General (OC-G) issued a formal Warning of Prosecution to the Accounting and Principal Officers of over 180 Public Bodies.
The primary objective of the Warning was to advise that Public Bodies and Public Officers who continued to ignore, or failed to comply with, the lawful requisitions of the OCG, would be referred for prosecution under Section 29 of the Contractor General Act.

In keeping with the terms of its Warning, the OC-G has so far referred the names of several Public Bodies to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
